Philly Curry Steak Sandwich

You and your guests don’t have to be from Philly to enjoy this sandwich. Loaded with tender sirloin steak and smothered in cheddar cheese, this easy-to-make main puts a twist on traditional Philly Steak with a red curry marinade that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 4 rustic sandwich buns
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • 4 5 oz. thinly sliced sirloin steaks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp Blue Dragon Thai Red Curry Paste
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine tomato, red onion, lemon, and cilantro in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. Toss white onion in a bowl with 1 tsp of Blue Dragon Thai Red Curry Paste.
  3. Grill or sauté onions for 6 minutes on high heat (3 minutes each side).
  4. Marinate the sirloin in the remaining Blue Dragon Thai Red Curry Paste, salt, and pepper for 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  5. Grill on high heat (450°F) for 6 minutes (3 minutes per side). Toast sandwich buns lightly on indirect heat.
  6. Place steak on sandwich buns and cover with cheese, onions, and salsa.
